Surface patterns and colour observed in botanical life enable me to explore my love of colour and abstract pattern making. Many artists have influenced me throughout my career, including Matisse, Miro and more recently Lucien Day.  My current work is predominantly concerned with the dynamic interplay between form and pattern.  I am equally interested in the space around pattern and this theme has been explored further through the development of the tilted and angled bowls.
