Elin Isaksson, glass artist

The inspiration for Elin is often drawn from her travels, ranging from the cold north of Sweden to the exotic warm Indonesia. She is intrigued by the play of light and textures in nature and sees glass as a way of accessing a world increasingly excluded from our everyday life.

Originally from Sweden, she has lived in Scotland since 2001 completed her BA(Hons) and Masters in Glass & Architectural Glass Design at Edinburgh College of Art.   She set up her own glass blowing studio and gallery in Alloa in 2010 where she designs and makes hand blown glass for gifts, decoration, architecture and lighting, Elin also runs monthly workshops in glass blowing.
